Just don't assume you going to visit a national park. We are currently at Loveland Co and tried to visit Rock Mountain National Park and was told we need to apply for a pass to enter. So you have to make reservations and currently takes 3 to 5 days to get one. According to the Ranger at the gate is to provide social distancing in the park. We do have the "America the Beautiful" national pass.
