Good morning,
So, after I got the drivers license's thing straighten out It's time to move on..
I'm looking for a class A Rv. I need help with knowing what to look for. What are normal things to go wrong? What are things I should be looking for?
Maybe there is a gasket that always fails? Anything you can tell me like that would help.
Thanks to anyone that can help me....

Mike

@mdrey, are you looking for a new or pre-owned Class A. The reason for the question is this; with pre-owned units, it is important to have a qualified RV tech do a thorough inspection to identify items of concern. And, this should be done by an independent inspector, not someone affiliated with or suggested by the seller. You can do a web search for "RVIA certified inspector." Be prepared to spend $300-$500 for this service; and, it will be worth every penny in the long run.

New coaches, OTOH, will come with a warranty that covers fixing issues for some period of time; usually 1-2 years. That makes if important to purchase a reliable brand coach from a reliable dealer.

Can you provide a bit more information on what size and type Class A coach you are looking for, along with some idea of your preferred budget? That would help forum members steer you in the right direction.

If I were looking for a used RV today the biggest concern for me would be signs of water damage. That is usually REALLY expensive to fix. Next, I'd want to see maintenance records of the engine and drive train. If not taken care of properly you can do a lot of damage to a diesel engine that is also expensive to repair.

Most people worry about the tires or the carpet or the color inside or wear and tear of the interior or the TV's or the A/C units or the 'fridge. All these things are reletively inexpensive to change or replace or repair. I've done them all.

Also, make sure to get an appraisal from RV Pricing and Appraisals on FB or on their website. He can give an appraisal of CURRENT values and for your SPECIFIC model. I think it's about $75? This may save you from over paying by THOUSANDS of dollars.
