Hello my names Scott recently came into owning a 2016 salem cruise lite-hyper lite forest river t191rdxl. I've started learning a bunch about how it works and have gotten most of my stuff in it. Gotta get my propane tanks filled cause my heater is clicking like it's trying to ignite but won't stay on for longer than 60 seconds. But I am moving to the mountains of north carolina in it and could use any tips on keeping my water tanks from freezing cause I don't believe it has a winter package. I've read some about the h&g heating pads but was wondering if those will work in the mountains of nc were already getting down 20°. I haven't moved the camper up yet cause I'm afraid of bursting pipes or tanks. Do I leave a slow drip on the faucets like a home? I figured keeping the inside above 60° would keep the pipes inside the walls pretty warm but wasn't sure how people have overcome these obstacles in the past.

Welcome Scott, great to have you with us. If storing your RV you'll want to learn how to winterize it. Otherwise if just asking how to keep things from freezing while living in it, others with like campers can better assist.
