I bought a 72 superior 2000 with a Chrysler 413 ... How do I determine what tranny it has ? It has two VIN #s - one for incomplete shell chassis and drive train and one for the body ? I can't find any markings on the tranny.... Any ideas ?

I looked that up online , but the measurements didn't add up to what the table was indicating
look at the pan that will tell you the tranny. Chryslers big most reliable of the era was the 727 the smaller tranny was used on the straight 6 and the pan was shaped differently.
the answer is really the answer. how many clutch plates was the big difference between the 727, not the size of the tranny.
