Hi, I need advice for my plan to use an RV for a home. I'm not a traveller but someone who needs a place. If this shows up in more than one club, forgive me for I am new to this.

I live in NJ and have applications in 36 low income senior apartment. I expect to never get into one in my lifetime at 73 years old. Individuals renting rooms will not rent to anyone over 55 years old. I've exhausted all avenues. An RV appears to be my solutions. I know about the deal with bathrooms and water and hookups.

I will probably have to buy a used RV. My goal is to be somewhere around the Bergen County area or surrounding areas so I can still drive to the excellent medical care here.

I'm sick of landlords and dangerous negligence. I just want a small space with enough room to set up a table to do my artwork and work on my computer.

So I need your advice and how to go about this. I'm sharp enough to make this happen for myself but I know I need yur expertise.

Best wishes to all,

Janet

Hello Janet, many live in their RV's called "fulltiming" and some stay in long term sites in campgrounds. You'll have to research campgrounds around your area to see what long term options they offer.

Many Thanks Neal.

Welcome aboard and as Neal stated, if you are going to stay in the area you are now, do a internet search of all campgrounds and those that have annual sites which are essentially permanent sites you will see at campgrounds. How you know people are set up as a full-time status is by riding around the campground and seeing TT and Fivers with yard art and what appears to be fulltime permanent.

Good luck and being where you are look to invest in underpinning and a camper that is a true or as close to referred to as a 4 season system.

Good luck!

Look at mobile home parks for long term rentals. Keep in mind that you will be renting month-to-month. If you are late or miss a month, you WILL be booted out. You will not enjoy the benefits or limitations of a lease agreement.
