Welcome @Zelda glad you have joined RVForums. I think the answer to your question is dependent on local ordinances where your property is located. My sister lived in her class c for about 18 months while building a house on the property.

Deming is lax on enforcement, I think they are more concerned about the tax dollar than what you do. Unless you get complaints. What direction out of Deming is your property?
 
Generally time limit depends on how well you get along with your neighbors. Hopefully you don't live near mrs kravetts.
