Question Highway 49 through Mississippi condition?

Going SE from Jackson down to l 10 near Mobile. Never used 49 hwy

It a 4 lane which is the NORTH/SOUTH main route from the coast to Jackson. Traffic can be heavy, but moves along pretty fast. You would want to take I 59 around Hattiesburg to Hwy 98 which will take u into Mobile. If you're headed to Flordia I would suggest taking HWY 63 at Lucedale Ms. south to I 10. This will keep you out of a very congested area before Mobile.
