Just read the reports of. 5.1 earthquake near Sparta, NC, and extending up into Virginia. Hope all are safe and escaped damage to sticks-and-bricks and RVs.

I was camping about 150 miles from Sparta at Falls Lake State Recreation Area outside of Durham for the past few nights. My wife had gone for a walk and I thought she had returned, but it was the quake that made the noise/movement up front while I was still in bed.

All is fine here.

We didn’t feel anything here. We had one here in 2011 that shook the house a bit, but nothing this time.
