Seems like overnight my tank is empty. How long should it be holding air? I'm going to have Freightliner Custom Chassis do leak checks on lines and fittings related to the tanks on my November service visit. Curious what others are seeing for how long tanks hold air.

Both of our air tanks can hold air for long periods of time. They both drop at roughly 5-10lbs a week.

I could only operate two of the three manual air drain lanyards. FL found problems with the air drain valves even tho they held air. Might be similar?

But mine also lose air probably the same rate as memoriesbythemile.

3 days and mine are down

Usually about 5 days

Mine keeps sufficient pressure for over a week, which is a bit of a surprise since almost every fire engine I ever worked on lost pressure over night. But those also had more air actuated stuff. I’d say you have a correctable leak.

At least once a day (traveling days) we do the full air brake check.

How many do this regularly?

If pressure in tanks is disappearing overnight I wonder if one of the steps in the air brake check list would fail?
