Hurricane Delta aftermath and US-165

We are going to be traveling from Houston thru Lake Charles and turning north on US-165 to a little town SE of Alexandria this weekend.

I'd appreciate any report regarding conditions of 165 and water levels due to the hurricane.

Should we go over to I-49 and up that way?

Either check the Louisiana DOT website or give them a call for the best information, unless someone has just traveled that route. Here in Ms. in the middle of the cone we had lots of trees down but no major roads closed. We're still without power but getting close to having power back. Hopefully today!
