I like the idea of adding solar to our Class C. My concern is does the added weight + cost = benefit.
 
In my opinion, solar works for us as we like to boondock often. The key is to properly size the solar installation for your needs and battery bank. Is it economical, no. If you typically camp at full hook up sites when you camp, it is not a good investment.
 
Curious? How do you go about mounting solar panels on a motor home roof that is not set up for solar and how and where do you make the wire runs??
