I have a plumbing leak that I can't find. I've checked every water connection for tightness and all of the cone washers inside the fittings. None of them showed signs of wear or leaking. I suspected the outside shower but have eliminated that. It seems that when the kitchen faucet is turned off with lever in hot water position the pump will kick on to re-pressurize but I see no signs of leaking water anywhere. What am I not checking? Thanks for any help.

How long dies the pump stay on? Does it come back on after it stops, without running water? Try not running water fir a few hours and see if the pump comes on again. It may be just refilling or repressurizing the hot water tank. I assume you have the city water off when using the pump?

Mine will burp once within an hour of flushing the toilet, as water trickles in for a while after the pedal is released, but not enough to immediately start the pump.
