Hey guys. My name is JDP from Scottsboro ALA.
Just purchased my 2016 Mountain Aire. For some reason the windshield night shade only comes down to the driving safety level. It was working normal but now it’s not. No key in ignition and park brake engaged. Been told there is a reset button but haven’t been able to locate. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to RVForums @JDP and congrats on your purchasing an amazing coach. Maybe someone else that knows can help but I'd try turning off 12V power (salesman switch at the door) then turn on again after 30 seconds and see if it resets that way.

Have you tried calling Newmar? The number should be on the window left of the wheel. Don't be afraid to reach out to them.

Hi, @JDP and welcome to RVF. Glad to have you here.

I think you likely have MCD shades and here's a link to the manual for them.

Limit programming instructions begin on Page 8. You will find the "learning switches" (there are two) at the end of wires tucked up under the shades at the driver-side end. It is a bit of an inconvenient location, but once you get things figured out it is not too bad.

Also, look in the Resources section (green bar at top of page, scroll right) and you will find a short version of the limit programming instructions that I posted some time back. Here's a link as well.

Good luck.

Welcome to the group. Scottsboro is the home of the unclaimed luggage for the airlines. We have been there a few times.

Thanks TJ. Good instructions. Just cannot find the reset switch. Looked for 2 days.

They can be hard to find, but are tucked up around the end of the shade roller. A flashlight may be needed to help you spot them.

OK...they are both two-wire pairs, right? Like miniature lamp cord? If so, just short the two wires in a given pair together. That's all a switch does.

I think I recall that a while back, Newmar just installed wires without switches. That may be the case with your coach. You could easily install a couple of miniature, momentary push-button switches on the two pairs if you want.
