First thing to look at is your trucks cargo carrying capacity (CCC). That will determine if the 5th wheel you want will work with your truck. To do this, look at the sticker on the truck (probably the door jamb). Once you find the CCC, now start looking for 5th wheels, and look for the pin weight. Once you see the dry pin weight, add about 300 lbs to that, then add 100-200 pounds for the hitch, then add the weight of occupants and cargo. That's the math you need to do first. If you are ok for the CCC weight, then you can look at other weights such as how much you can tow and gross combined weight. I don't want to start a weight argument, because other people will tell you your truck will pull anything, and it will. It just may not stop, or be safe, or be legal. Good luck in your search. Looking at everything is half the fun I think.
