Interesting read on soot levels but this is for TORO and not Cummins, but may relate: click here

 
When I talk to Diesel Laptops again, either today or Monday, I’ll ask about soot load phases vs % load to see if there is a correlation we can work with. One neat thing about their “Diesel Decoder” is it saves a file whenever you use it and you can send them that file for analysis. They want me to try to do regen again and send them the file from that effort so they can figure out why it is doing everything accept initiating a regen. Your episode a couple days ago has got me back on this mission!
