Hi there! We are first time camper owners and we are interested in finding out what brands and size generators you have found to be the quietest and most powerful. We have a 26ft travel trailer. Excited to be here and starting this next journey in life!!!

Champion 3400 dual fuel (we run it only on propane). So far so good. We don’t use it much for camping although it’s super quiet. Primary duty is house backup. Propane option is nice. (There has never been gas in the tank). Most of its life it just sits in its house and gets started and exercised once every six weeks using our Tesla as a variable load. It occasionally gets some time at a campsite. No complaints. Starts good in cold and hot temps. Comes with either the TT30 receptacle for RV’s (american) or the TT30 adapter to twist lock (Canadian). Either way you are ready to go with an RV.

OMG- this is the one I just purchased- hearing this makes me happy. Thank you! We did a rookie move and parked the camper in our back yard and opened the bump out but didn't put it back in before the battery died. We figured we could use our house generator but discovered that's not accurate. Let the bumbling begin. HA!

LOL :). Glad it worked out for you. Don’t worry. The learning curve levels out after 30 or 40 years. :).

I think you are American which means you don’t even need the adapter to TT30. One less thing to loose.

Heads up. If you start it on propane, follow the manual and only use half choke, and then be ready to push the choke all the way off almost right away.

Don’t forget to turn the battery switch off between uses or it will drain.

If you use it regularly you won’t have to charge the battery. I use the little charger that comes with it for about 30 minutes every six weeks after I have exercised it with the Tesla.

Cheers and happy trails.

Well that's good to know...I'll only be 80 and finally getting it... and I think that's the adapter we need so we can use our 220 line at the house to plug in to. So thank you! All very exciting!

Well, you can’t use a 220 line for an RV without roasting it. So make sure you check the line voltage before plugging in an RV. Otherwise there is lots of smoke. :). RV’s like yours are strictly 30 amp 120. (Although you can run them on 15 amp with an adapter.

Congrats on the rig.

LOL. :). I like the Angel thing. I could use the wings. :). But seriously, there are lots of helpful folks on here, many smarter than me. I’ve learned a lot of what I know thru bad decisions. :). But that’s kinda how life is.

Anyway. Ask any question and you’ll usually get an answer from someone. Some of them may be right. :).

Cheers.
