Congratulations on your decision! We just purchased our first RV this year. We went with a Newmar London Aire DP. We are very pleased with it and like being able to use the coach while we are traveling. The 5th Wheels have some great features as well, I think there are pros and cons to every RV. Just comes down to how you want to use/live in your RV for us. (We are RV Virgins, so don't take our advice as the gospel!!!) Good luck on your search!!!

That’s burning bush-level advice right there.

Welcome to RVF, @Bluecrab; glad to have you join us here. And, glad to see you are doing your homework before buying anything. There have been several recent threads on selecting tow vehicles and I encourage you to read them. The bottom line, however, is to decide what 5th wheel you want to go with (at least in terms of size and weight) and then select a tow vehicle that is rated to pull it with some room to spare. The basic rule of thumb is to not load the tow vehicle beyond 80% of its rated capacity. That provides a good safety margin.
