thank u..I am use to gas motorhome..35-40'ish is normal going up the mountains, I don't think you're seeing anything wrong.
will do ..dealership was suppose to service, but I know how that goes sometimes..justI'd look at your air filter to make sure your engine is getting plenty of air. This will cause a reduction of power. Also make sure your fuel filters are not clogging up. Lack of fuel flow will also cause reduction of power. Other than that it might just be that the hill was real steep and your load was heavy for the amount of HP/TQ that your engine produces. You can down shift the Allison manually next time to see if that helps. Keep those RPM's around 1500 or so. This should be close to the sweet spot for the engine TQ.
Your air filter on a diesel engine usually has a "filter minder" on the outside of the filter housing that will show the air flow available. It should show if it's getting clogged up with dirt or not. If you take the filter out you can gently tap it on the ground or gently blow it out with an air hose to loosen and dislodge any dirt or bugs that have accumulated. GENTLY is the key word here. You don't want to damage the air filter in any way that would let dirt enter the engine. This can cause MAJOR PROBLEMS in a diesel engine. (Think total rebuild) Make sure to re-set the filter minder back to 100% air flow when you're done. Also re-set it if you change the filter for a new one.will do ..dealership was suppose to service, but I know how that goes sometimes..just
located fuel and oil filter under bed...what a strange place but least its air conditioned!...thank you HUGE!!!
I'm not familiar with your coach. My Holiday Rambler has the air filter in a side compartment at the rear of the coach. You just open the door and there it is! The filter minder is at the rear of the coach in front of the radiator where it is easily accessible to push the button to reset it. Hopefully we've given you enough things to check and watch out for. Hope it helps!have had expierienced diesel mechanic from church out to look engine over with me, talk about preventive maint, we looked at filter housing, didnt see any gauges to indicated air flow, just how difficult it looked to access
engine has 28k
