We have RV’ing since 1974. We just bought a good, used travel trailer, that has the standard low security door lock-sets, that can be unlocked with just about any key, if you wiggle it long enough. I just changed out all of my outside bin door locks to the round barrel locks that are keyed-alike. The old locks were the standard CH 751 numbered ones, that are so prevalent. I’ve looked everywhere to find a lock-set that has a round barrel lock, but with no luck. My question is, what have others done to get better security on their entry doors, short of just installing a standard dead-bolt lock? Thanks to all for any input that anyone may have.

I've installed deadbolts before. My current RV is pretty secure.

Check you tube, there are many folks that show how to upgrade locks

I need to swap out our lock as well. The deadbolt lock core doesn’t even stay in.

Just swapped out the lock in our trailer. It was pretty easy, though the screaming baby inside the trailer made it take a little longer…

He’s calm for now.
