So, two questions.

1. We have young kids, so mattress protectors are necessary. Do any of you have recommendations for ones that are fairly comfortable and will keep the inevitable pee out of the mattress?

2. We’re pondering swapping out the stock mattress on one bed for us. Who makes decent ones? Having a nice king size bed at home has spoiled the two of us.

This is one of the nicest mattress protectors I've used:

Thanks, @Neal

I need to get on this if we’re going camping in two weeks.

You can get mattress protectors at any mattress store. I used to buy all replacement furnishings for nine fire stations and IIRC good covers/protectors were around $90.

For a replacement RV mattress (most OE RV mattresses are junk) I always use Mattress insider. I’ve bought from them three times and always been perfectly satisfied with their products, prices, warranty, and customer service. If my current coach didn't come with a sleep number, I would have bought from them again. They have standard products available and they can make any custom mattress you want. I wouldn’t look anywhere else. And they made in Colorado.
