Is this in a Motorhome Fubar? If so make and model will help. Class C or A etc. Some (read many) motorhomes don’t charge the chassis (engine) battery from the built in converter. What you got there dude?

2018 miramar 35.2 class a gas motor home. I replaced the chassis battery after 3 1/2 year's put new one in and it keeps losing voltage. About 1 amp every 4 hours. Didn't do that before replacing battery.

Good morning.

Ok. So first off. In that Motorhome the chassis battery is not charged from the converter. So plugging in the Motorhome will not charge that battery.

It sounds like there is a slow draw somewhere on the chassis side. Any chance there is a light on somewhere? In those chassis pretty much all the lights are fed from the house battery except,

1. Lights in the driver and passenger position and overhead.
2. Convenience light under the hood.
3. Sometimes a convenience light in the wet bay cabinet controlled by a switch at the drivers position.

Hope you find it.

Not an expert.

Thanks I checked all the switches and lights. Again all I did was put a new battery in the motor compartment and the drain on the battery started.

Can you check for ground current between the negative post and the frame? You can also use a 12 volt bulb if your meter can’t do current. The bulb will light up if there is current flow.

Are your house batteries charging? You likely have an inverter/ charger.

What is the voltage on your house batteries? It would help to know the make and model of your inverter.

Many inverter/chargers won’t charge the chassis battery until the house batteries reach 13.2 v.

Sorry it took so long to reply I was visiting my grand kids. I'm going back to our home base tomorrow will try to look at that tomorrow or Monday. Thanks
