I think it’s called the shroud the cover with the vent. It seems the screws ore torqued. 2 of them are stripping any suggestions on I can get all the screws out so I can get the cover off?

Those screws are a PITA. What I have done is use a hammer and as I am putting some pressure on the screwdriver to turn and tap on the handle with the hammer. If that doesn't want to work I have used a hacksaw and cut a new slot in the head and did the same as above. I would recommend you get some 'Never-Seize' and put a small amount on each screw so the next time it will be much easier. Also, those screws are stainless steel, so once torqued they have a tendancy to gall the threads slightly, so then I would go buy new screws and put never seize on as I put it back together.

Yes the seem to be a real pain, I'll try your suggestions, can I find these screws at my local ACE or do I need to special order them? Thanks

Any hardware store should have them. The only reason for stainless is to keep from having rust stains after a few years.

Good to know, thanks

Can you tell me which Coleman you have. I am looking at the Mach 3 air xcel 15,000 btu as a replacement and would like to know how they perform.
thanks
