Hello all, here to learn, share, just talk trailers and camping. Love to travel, will be retired this summer hope to do more of it. Bought our camper used, about 4 years ago. We actually have 2 campers, one being a micro camper. It makes a queen bed which breaks down to either 2 single beds and a table, also has city water hookup, micro wave, fridge, all inside. No bath . Had it built locally. Don't use it as much as our larger one. (Hubby wanted one with a bath and with age, it is easier to travel with.) The smaller one is easier to pull and very well built. Plans to travel back to Yellowstone this summer, If God wills. Spouse is retired, so looking forward to travel time with him, not having to push to get back to my current job. Anxious to learn more from members, get travel/camping tips and just basically share info and travel experiences. Favorite local travel area :Great Smoky Mt National Park, especially the Cades Cove area. Beautiful valley, with a lot of history. Once a thriving mountain community. Love the peace in the area. Y'all need to visit if you can! Thanks to all!

Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard. Congrats on your impending retirement plans. We live on a huge continent with lots of interesting places to visit.

We are hoping to get to your neck of the woods next late summer or early fall. Tennessee has been on my bucket list for quite a while now. We like visiting historical places. We not big fans of visiting cities (but sometimes you have to bend a little and suffer the crowds). Your plan to see Yellowstone again this summer sounds good but, if you wait until fall, you might enjoy it more. There might be fewer crowds, easier to get a campsite. Still warm during the day but very cool at night for good sleeping. But what ever suits your fancy. Enjoy!

Safe travels

Greetings! We're looking at relocating to the Nashville area next summer. We'll be there this summer because our son is playing in a hockey tournament in Nolensville and we're tagging along to watch him, and then we'll be driving around trying to get a feel for the different towns in the area.

Welcome to the group. We are native Tennesseans, retired and living in Sparta, TN. Middle Tennessee. Really enjoy the TN State Parks along with various places in the Smokies. Get a National Parks Service Senior Pass. $10/nite in most NPs

I shouldn't say much more, because........ all ya'll folks will be wantin' to be movin' to TN.

Fall travel is perfect for me, but hubby freezes with temps below 70!!!! A constant fight over the thermostat now!!!

Well, temps "can" sometimes get above 70 during the day in the fall but rarely. Having said that, it can get chilly during the day even in July and August. Regardless, as you know, Yellowstone is a great place to visit. Perhaps you might want to get your hubby a pair of heated hunting socks to keep him warm for those cooler days! :) Being from Canada, we learn to wear shorts and sandals when ever the temps get above freezing! :)

Safe travels

You are close to one of our favorite places, Fall Creek Falls. We both grew up in Fayetteville, TN. Been in GA since ‘85.
