We are a retired couple researching the Class B's.......I've seen many negative reviews of Thor brand's workmanship so now considering a Roadtrek....any suggestions would be appreciated.

Might want to think a little about a used Born Free in the 24/26 ft. size. The quality of their workmanship far outstrips most things being offered today by nearly all manufacturers.
things like: 3 roll bars; 3/4” solid oak cabinetry; Moen faucets; dual pane windows; 3-way refrigerators; Flexsteel furniture including the Captain’s chairs; all fiberglass shell with walls that are 3/4” plywood with an easy to clean carpeted interior coverings; and I believe all their units come with the big V-10 engine. Yes, the company is now out of business, but the interior never seems to need anything replaced or repaired. We’ve owned two, both bought used, and have put a combined 135,000 miles on them (so far). And the big plus over a Class B is that you can stand up, walk around and be two abreast, which you can’t do in the little Bs.

We picked up a 2015 Roadtrek Ranger. Chevy Express van 20’ long, no LP, Onan generator, and wet bath. I added Solar, lithium house batteries, and a Chinese heater where the LP gas heater would have been. I love it, much easier to drive than our class a. Plus my wife drives it! It will require changes from the way we travelled in our class a, but we’re ready to simplify our life “all the way around”.

These are quite a bit cheaper than a lot of class b vans we seen. I think the chevys are pretty bullet proof and you can get them serviced most anywhere.
