Hi,
My name is Charles. I just purchased a 2019 Lance 1685 and will be towing it with a 2006 Dodge 2500 4x4 with a camper shell. The truck may be overkill perhaps, but I wanted the RV to be small to fit in National Parks, and I wanted the truck to be big enough that I would have comfortable cruising on the highway along with decent fuel economy.
Long term plans for the trailer are solar, lithium batteries for higher capacity and quick charging. For the truck I will be building a drawer system/platform and use the camper shell for... camping in remote places(aka overlanding).
I am selling my Jeep Cherokee which I set up for flat towing behind my prior setup(dually and Bigfoot Camper). I will be posting an ad on this website because I think RVers will appreciate a lot of what I have done to it.
