Bought our 2020 Newmar Bay Star 3401 yesterday, got it home today. On our 10 hour trip home we of course stopped for fuel. Wife stayed in the coach as I went out to arrange fueling. When I came back I couldn't open the door. Luckily my wife was able to open it from the inside. I didn't think anything of it until we got home, parked it, closed the unlocked door when we exited it. Now I can't get back in. Door is not locked, I have the key, but there must be something wrong with the mechanism. Anyone else have a similar problem and if so, how did you fix it. Our coach is locked up tight, our meds, toiletries, clothes, etc. are inside.

Welcome to RVForums @Ted Dickinson. Sorry to hear of this, yes it sounds like the door lock assembly is faulty. If you can get back in then I suggest unlocking your driver's side window or think of an alternate access way in. Give Newmar and/or your dealer a call and they should arrange a mobile tech to come to you.

Glad you have joined RVForums and congratulations on your new coach. Sorry you have been locked out. I am not familiar with the Baystar so if my suggestion isn’t possible please forgive me. Try removing all power including 12v chassis power.
Be sure to call Newmar using the brand specialist number. Good luck.
