Looking to buy an RV and start traveling! Going tomorrow to look at a 1999 Gulf Stream Ultra Ford V10. Worried about buying an older unit, any suggestions on what to look for? We're first time buyers.

No idea as far as a Class A or C. I would say look for any apparent engine leaks for one and any issues related. As far as the camper section, find out any upgrades and why was it upgraded other than age if it was for other reasons. Run the systems A/C and heat as well as check out the propane appliances as to working order.

I met a couple last week while camping in TN that had a fifth wheel that was 20 years old. So I know they can last that long if taken care of for sure.

Don’t be afraid to ask the owner the issues they have had and maybe fixed. Best thing is find a friend with RV knowledge to go as well and know what to look for and ask.
