I am recently retired and plan to pull our 29' Arctic Fox into Wyoming and Montana to scout property. We live in NM but want OUT due to deteriorating liberties here.

well we just took at trip(July/August) thru Wyoming/Montana-and there's miles and miles and miles of open prairie...best of fortune in your search. right now might be good time--their winters are a lot different than 90% of the country's. ENJOY

what time of year are you planning on going?

Welcome. This is happening everywhere, it seems.

Roads are already very bad. Plan to travel during mid day and be prepared for very cold nights.

Welcome and thank you for your service! I might advise waiting until spring rolls around. Come on down to FL and hang out with MapNerd. The weather is great, the liberties intact and the costs are low.
