Hi, we have more of a question and concern and hope for an answer. 5 years ago we sold our home in PA and went full-time. We have owned and traveled in Class A motorhome for over 28 years. The move to full-time was an easy decision for us. But as we age, we are wondering, what do full-times do when to old to drive? Do they rent lot space, sell the RV, or what? This is something I have never seen discussed but is of concern. Any thoughts or comments?

We've been full-timing in our Class A DP for nearly 11 years and we're both in our 70's. Your question is valid and is one we've asked ourselves.

Six years ago we purchased an RV site in a deeded, ownership park in Rockport TX. Rockport is a popular retirement RV community and our lot provides us ~3,000 sq ft of space on which we constructed a small heated/cooled casita with attached storage shed. My wife uses the casita as her sewing center and it gives us some space from each other.

We figure that we, most likely, will have a couple of additional years during which we still feel comfortable taking the motorhome out on trips. After that we might well consider simply living in it as a fixed dwelling. We're so used to living in the small space that that isn't an issue. Last year we equipped the coach with a pair of high efficiency heat pumps. If we're living in the coach and not moving it, maintaining the plumbing and heating systems aren't much different from what you'd have if you lived anywhere. At some point we'd probably want to sell and move into assisted living, but, hopefully, that's a number of years in the future.

Thanks so much for your reply. We have never been able to get an answer or ideas before. Sounds like a good plan.
