I’ve stayed at Emerald Desert RV resort in Palm Desert and Catalina RV resort in Desert edge. Catalina has excellent access to desert trails and exploration. Emerald Desert is a bit more refined which is nice sometimes. Got some other recommendations for the area? I’m at FOY (Fountain of Youth Spa RV Resort) for a month and find it nice for a lot of reasons, but I’m always looking for new experiences. The Springs at Borrego, and Anza Borrego SP are on my short list.
