I just bought a 1971 5th wheel and need to know more about it. Any advice will be more than welcome

1971? WOW...that's vintage. It would help to know what brand/model and what kind of shape is it in? For someone just getting into RVing, there will be a learning curve for sure but if you just take your time and learn about one thing at a time, you will get there.
