New to Rving. Live in higher elevation area of Chattanooga, TN and intend to use travel trailer year round. Need suggestions about keeping trailer safe from freezing in winter. It gets very cold here for a few weeks at a time. Shore power available year round.

Welcome to the site! update you info to include the type of RV you have and others with similar TT's may be able to help you out. Basic stuff is always about insulation to keep heat inside. Extra heat sources to provide heat to areas not designed by factory to stay warm. disconnecting hoses when not in use. extra source of propane to make sure you don't run out at worst minuet.

Like Old Bubblehead stated…..brand and model of TT would be helpful. Some are built for the so-called 4 seasons but within reason. Oh, welcome aboard!

Welcome. Good luck with your search

Thank you. I updated my info. Have new 2021 FRiver Grey Wolf. Still working our the bugs (camera, shower, leaky connections, etc) and operator "newness" to the RV world.

Hmmmmmm, not sure but believe those like mine to be a 3 season at best. Not really for winter if temps dip below 32 most the time around the clock. Not saying you can’t find ways around it, just know if you are camping during a frigid snap it may be a headache.

As to leaks…….what kind are you experiencing?

Are you on private land, or using private campground?

Think we solved, but was annoying. Kitchen sink was leaking at water line connection below sink. Think we solved that by tightening.
Shower lacked sufficient caulking around inside edge. We can't test it until we hook up at a campground again.
TT is on our private property. Elec only.
Thank you for your reply.
