Hi. My husband (Bob) and I (Judy) have been camping at least 50 years. We camped in a truck camper, tents, pop ups, trailer, and now RV.
We love forested, mountain sites.
we are planning a trip to Maine from North Carolina this year. Could use some suggestions on the rout there and back. We don’t like turnpikes and freeways.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome @Judy. Great to have you join us.

Judy,
Take 95 N., exiting at Emporia, Va. Take 58 E., towards Va. Beach., set your GPS for Cape Charles, Va. and that will put you over the Ches. Bay Bridge, set the Gps for Lewes, De. and get on the Cape May / Lewes Ferry. Exiting the Ferry follow signs North to Garden State Pkwy. Follow the GSP , North till the end, then follow signs for Tappen Zee bridge ( the GPS may know it as Gov. Cuomo Bridge.) After the bridge ( Tarrytown , NY area ) Follow 287 North , then 684 North, then 84 North. Take 84 North into Conn., through Conn. into Mass. After a little less than 10 miles , take Mass. Tpk., Rt. 90, North East. Then take 495 North to 95 Northup into NH then Maine.
