Norcold refrigerator self-switched from a/c to LP. Checked breaker - OK. Breaker marked Reefer and water heater heating element. Checked recep in refrigerator access panel where refrigerator is plugged in, opened back of recep and checked for voltage at the wire ends - no a/c. Ran an extension cord from central vac recep in basement compartment to the refrigerator plug and plugged refrigerator into it - frig works on a/c from extension cord. Trying to find where Romex that feeds the recep at the access panel goes - followed till it disappeared into wall.

Called Newmar service rep to no avail. They do not have wiring diagrams.

Somewhere there is an open circuit, possibly at the location of another recep.

Has anyone out there had a similar experience? Love to hear from you!

Is it on a gfci line. Did you check all of your gfci resets?

We had that happen on our class c on a trip. Everything looked good but it would only run on propane and no ac was getting to the fridge.

Long story short the breaker had failed and was not staying closed even though it appeared to. Did not looked tripped but had a small amount of movement.

Swapped the leads on the back of the breaker with the ac feed to the hot water heater right next to it and the fridge started working again - this verified the breaker issue.

Had to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot to get a new double breaker for a permanent fix and both back on ac again.
