2017 Georgetown (Class A), around 5000 miles.
Norcold 2118 4-door refrigerator
I noticed when we bought it that the fridge was not as cold as the home fridge. A thermometer showed about 45 degrees, just adequate. On our last trip, it was a little warmer and it was pretty hot outside. I pulled the side cover and the coils were extremely hot, so I decided to do the “fan” mod to move more air behind the unit. I also put an additional fan inside to move more air.
After doing that, I got 50 degrees on electric, 40-45 on gas.
The fridge has been on a setting of “9” the whole time and I just got a tip from another forum to turn that down to about 4. He swears that his Norcold (not the same model as mine) will cool better on 3 or 4.
Anyone else got any idea?

I had a Dometic but put the fans on the air intake grate blowing in.

Needed both on when it was hot out but it made a large difference in the overall performance.

My fans are doing the same thing, but mounted inside, not to the cover.

New and important data!
My refrigerator thermometer (which is only 10-12 years old:unsure:), is not accurate at all….
I bought a couple on new ones from Wally-world and the freezer is 18F and the fridge is 40F.
Not ideal for the fridge, but it’s also empty other than a couple of bottles of water.
The fans are definitely doing the job of cooling it down.
Oh, and I turned the T-stat down to “4” as was suggested by a member of another forum.
