Agreed. We have lost a few pets over the years and it seems to get harder each time. We took a short trip after our last pup left and it seemed empty without him, although the coach did stay much cleaner inside with no "German Shedder" hair blowing around. That said, it was the last trip without a pet. Irma has been to every state with us for the past 7 years and loves traveling. Our condolences on your loss. We've been thru it 4 times and it never gets any easier. Pets leave our lives but their memories will stay in our minds and hearts forever.
So true. For those that don't know, our Shepherd was found during hurricane Irma at 2 months old by some people in our area (S Florida). They took her in, but had several other dogs that must have beat up on her as she has bite marks on her nose and one ear. We also believe someone in the house mistreated her before they eventually turned her in to Animal Refuge Center in N. Ft. Myers. We found her there at 7 months old and adopted her. It was at least a week before I could approach her without her going into full defense mode. 2 months before we could get a garden hose near enough to give her a bath. 3 months after we became her "parents" we loaded her into the RV and set out for 6 months coast to coast trip. At 7 yrs old now, she's been with us every trip since, most around 6-7 months, and has seen most of the country. Yes, her name is Irma.I would definitely get one from a shelter and give that lil guy the best life he could imagine.
My wife was not really a dog person way back when, but one day I just showed up with one and that was the end of our being without a dog. Can you just get her to even look at a puppy?I grieved more over the death of my beloved dog than I have over many relatives that have passed. I haven't had a dog now for over four years and I need one badly, my wife is still not ready.
More shedder porn, this is MegSo true. For those that don't know, our Shepherd was found during hurricane Irma at 2 months old by some people in our area (S Florida). My youngest has told me to just come home with one and mum will cave. I have a better chance saying Merissa told me to do it, she likes her better than me.My wife was not really a dog person way back when, but one day I just showed up with one and that was the end of our being without a dog.
