I was talking to a friend from Florida tonight and mentioned how difficult it can be to get a reservation in the wintertime. He talked about this park in Stuart, FL. I am from the south of there, and Stuart is a quiet, quaint place, or at least it used to be. It is not fancy and has limited spaces, but a 45-foot can get in there, and they have 50 amp outlets on most sites. I have never been to this park, so trust but verify.

Been there, done that many years ago. My in-laws used to live down the street from Phipps Park. You pretty much need a reservation for any of the parks in that area.

You can also stay at the COE St Lucie South Campground.(W/E) which is down the street from Phipps Park, across from the locks (and next door to my in-laws old place) Jacksonville District > Missions > Civil Works > Recreation > Camping

There's also the Savannahs up in Ft Pierce (full hookup - bring drinking water the water tastes a bit yukky and I grew up drinking the local water) Savannas Recreation Area | St. Lucie County, FL

Jonathan Dickinson SP Jonathan Dickinson State Park

And the other place we used to camp at no longer has camping.
