We were planning to leave for Yuma for a couple of weeks then Tucson month of February but sounds like covid is running rampant now. Would be interested in other’s opinions with snowbirding now. I’m thinking Texas might be a better option.

Being from California where everything is closed down and virus numbers continue to explode (hmmm...), the problem is finding somewhere to go. Sounds like Arizona is open for business so enjoy your travels. The only place to camp in CA is BLM land (Boondocking)...we're going the end of the month. AT least the Federal Government (BLM) has some common sense...camping is the definition of social distancing! Have fun ?

smart move would be to wait until you have received both vaccinations before traveling anywhere and especially to coronavirus hotspots like Arizona which with its having it bars open and people refusing to wear masks has a very high infection rate and a very high death toll. Arizona despite having fewer than 7 million people has already experienced more than 12,600 deaths from Covid-19. It is double that of Virginia and 3000 times higher than Taiwan and South Korea on a per capita basis. And more than 50% of the survivors will have permanent brain damage so not something to take lightly.
