I am not tech savvy, but after trying fast.com, I like Speedtest. I can't compare the Verizon and AT&T accurately with fast.com as they use different measurements (Mbps vs Kbps) and I'm not sure why the readings are so vastly different using Speedtest vs. AT&T. Why would fast.com use a server in Atlanta vs. Speedtest Helena, MT? This is so way above my head. The only reason I use Speedtest is to figure out whether Verizon or AT&T is faster so I know which one to put in the priority 1 position in my pep wave. ?

Technically the difference is fast test to Netflix servers, Amazon servers and other servers you use on the internet. No caching, no compression, no fake speed reports.

Speedtest only test the shortest path, and often never leaves the cellular data center. Fake results, bloated speed numbers that make you feel good but do nothing for you in real life.

Okay, but how do I compare if Verizon is measured in Kbps and AT&T is measured in Mbps? 3.4 Mbps vs. 120 Kbps?
