Hello. I am interested in your opinions as to what a pre-purchase inspection should check, approximate cost, and any suggestions as to an inspector available in Orlando. I hope to purchase a 4-5 year old, 28' class C from a rental agency in Orlando. I reviewed thru previous posts and could not find anything on this subject. Thanks for your replies.

I just had two inspections done on my 2015 Ventana LE pre-purchase. The first one cost me around $350. It was a basic inspection (condition and operating systems). I don't think it was too detailed. The second one was from the extended Warranty company covering my coach. It was much more detailed and included in the contract. Approximate cost was $500. Had I known they were going to inspect it I would not have done the first one on my own. Lesson learned. I found the first inspector by contacting a local RV dealer in the area. The second was provided by the Extended Warranty company. Unless you know a lot about the RV you are looking at I would highly recommend an inspection.

I had one done when I bought my first coach in Oregon. I paid around 550 and they had the coach for 8 hours. They went top to bottom including chassis. A good inspection should leave nothing uncovered including appliances all components lights etc.
