Problem with slide not coming in properly.

This is a ongoing problem. Slide will not come in without using using override switch. What can the problem be ?

It really helps to give some detail on the RV make, model, and year, and in this case, the slide mechanism type and/or manufacture if you know it. There are quite a few different slide types and designs, each with their own specific issues.
