Hi my name is matt new to rv have a prime time avenger single axle, question is my fresh water tank is filling up on its own without anything attached to it, also the pump is making strange noise, any help is appreciated

Welcome Matt. Might need a little more information. If your fresh water tank is filling up on it's own then you must be hooked up to city water, correct? First of all turn off your city water supply. Now there should be some sort of dial which allows you to select between being hooked up to city water and not being hooked up to city water. It will have either 2 or 3 possible positions. Choices may include "city fixture" or "dry camp", or about anything in between. If you want to run off your RV water pump and your fresh tank dial it to "dry camp" or something similar.
