New to the forum..... New to RV conversions ...... is there any reason why I shouldn't or can't mount the LP exhaust from the water heater out the rear wall? Thanks!

fire safety might be one reason. Most RV LP water heaters are extreemly inefficient and the exhaust gets very hot. So you’d want to do this very carefully.

Keep the exhaust away from anything flamable.

It would be nice if you could get high efficiency gas appliances for your RV like you can for home stuff. Like 96% efficient condensing furnaces and demand water heaters that exhaust through PVC. But I haven’t seen it yet. Instead it seems like water heaters and furnaces put more heat out the exhaust then into the coach.
