We purchased a fifth wheel this year that has a residential refrigerator. I really love the extra large fridge space and the ice maker but find that things really move around in the fridge when we are pulling the fifth wheel. I don’t want to open a fridge to broken glass shelves. Anyone have any tips or tricks they can share? The 28” tension rods aren’t long enough to reach across our side by side. Any help would be appreciated.

We've had a residential fridge for >10 years. I'm not sure what tension rods you are using; we use regular tension curtain rods from Walmart. They can be any size we need and are quite inexpensive.

2x on @docj...also used the same with non-residential refers in the past.

Safe Travels.

We use towels (any kind) and have had very good luck with them.

We had the residential in the Newmar and now in our new fiver. The one in the fiver is larger but we secure items generally the same way. As already mentioned cheap tension rods from Walmart (or CW) do the trick. We also use small plastic, low sided baskets, to keep jar goods in while sitting on the shelves. Fivers bounce a little more while going down the road.
