Setting up a new router and was curious how others handled the 2.4 and 5ghz wifi bands. Are you using different names and connecting depending on need or ability of pieces of equipment to utilize the different bands>

If the new router has the ability to combine them for one SSID I'd consider that. Otherwise I do name them so I know what's what such as CoreyNet-2.4 and CoreyNet-5

I did that for a while, using "FBI Van" "NSA Drone" etc. Love the wifi humor I see in the list at times.
