All this talk about how hard it is to find a camping spot at a camp ground nowadays made me start looking for an RV lot that I could buy. Then I wouldn't have to worry about finding a camping spot!! We wound up buying a place on Weiss Lake in Alabama. It's almost exactly 1 hour from our house in Ringgold, GA. so it's close enough that we can run over to the lake anytime the mood hits us. But it's far enough that we still feel like we're on "vacation." :ROFLMAO: We've only owned it for a couple days so we're still setting everything up. I'm going to put in an outdoor kitchen including a sink with hot and cold water, a beverage cooler, a Blackstone griddle, a 4 burner cook top, and a gas grill. . This will cut down trips into the motorhome. The100'X100' lot came with a 40'x40' pole barn that has 200 amp electrical breaker box so there is plenty of power. The previous owner had in-ground sewer, water and 50 amp electric hook-ups for two additional Coaches installed so we can have friends over for a visit. We are across the street from the water. The public boat ramp is right in front of our lot so we have a good view of the water. Check out the sunset from last night!

Congrats!

That's outstanding! So is it zoned Recreational / RV or do they even do that type of designation in AL? Great idea...
