Trish and I are looking for an RV lot to buy in Florida.

We would love to be in Key West, but I don't think I'm willing to spend the $$ required to get something there. I've been looking for a place, maybe on a lake, that I could put in a slab and park an RV for several months out of the year. It would be ideal if that place had an old dwelling that I could tear down and then hook up to the existing utilities. But I've not had any luck finding that as of yet.

So purchasing a nice site on the ocean (or bay side), is what I'm now looking for. I would like to keep the purchase price around $250K. Anyone have something that they'd like to sell?

@BuckyII can probably assist. Pelican Lakes is one of my favs.

By the way, this topic gives me the idea we need a forum for RV real-estate. I'll see what we have here already and add one if needed and move this post once ready.

Be careful because @Neal likes to go to winter wonderland areas in the winter.

I grew up in Florida and finding a lot on the ocean at that price point is going to be tough. There’s just not a lot of lots left unless you go north towards Jacksonville and maybe you might get lucky. Now it you were to consider the intercoastal waterway (which accesses the ocean through inlets) you might have better luck. I would also suggest the west coast and going north of Tampa up towards Cedar Key and my favorite place is a really small town called Steinhatchee. What a gem. I call that old Florida that reminds me of growing up. There are a few places to consider in the middle of the state as well that have water access. @FL-JOE probably has some suggestions where to look.

Jim, over half the folks in our Olde Beau MC community have lots in Florida. Most split time between Fl and NC. If you narrow down to a few possibilities I can reach out to folks and see if there is any experience. Most have left NC already for the warmer climate. Off hand, I know of folks in Aztec, Naples MC Resort, St Lucie, Myakka, and River landings.

We stayed at a really nice camp ground in Panama City FL. this summer called Emerald Coast RV Resort. They have very fancy brick pavers on the streets and 2 lakes. On one of the lakes is a whole lot of mini homes or whatever you call them. Most had decks on the outside. Some were screened in. The view of the small lake was really nice. Some were for sale. I'd bet they will be way below your budget. The resort has a nice pool and dog walk areas as well as tennis courts. It's about 2 miles from the beach so it only takes a minute to drive over. Lots of resturants around the area too. You should check it out. Click on the FOR SALE tab on the link below. One is on the lake and one is not.

Thank you all. I made a cash offer on a lot at Bella Terra in Gulf Shores. I'm going to drive over next week to visually inspect it, and closing should be shortly after that. It's affordable and it's only about 7 hours from here, so I can make short trips over without being gone for extended lengths of time.

Now I need to find an RV. It's the little things, lol. . .
