As newbies we are not familiar with the different brands. We have narrowed down our choices to the Salem FSX 179dbk or the Wolf Pup 16 fq. We realized they are both Forest River products.
Just wanted to get some opinions on quality and reliability. Particular if you have/had any of these or similar trailers. Pros and cons etc.

Again we will be pulling this with our toyota FJ cruiser with tow capacity of 5000 lbs and GCWR of 9500 lbs. I will also be using a Blue Ox sway pro hitch.

Thanx in Advance

I haven't any experience with either brand, but if they come from the same manufacturer, I think their likely similar. My brother pulls a Lance, but owned an Outback previously. I had a Komfort and now pull an Outdoors RV - all in the 30 ft range. Quality has been similar across all the brands - fit and finish leaves something to be desired. Trim held on with pin-nails and very little "real" wood anywhere. That said, with reasonable care, they have held up well. I keep up on maintenance and patch and replace with better as the situation allows.

Overall, I'd pay significantly more attention to tow specs and stopping distances than the trailer. As I haven't any evidence that one (save Airstream?) is of significantly different quality than any other.

What is your payload on the FJ?
