We have a 40’ 2023 Coachmen Sportscoach 403QS. The largest slide is the dining table / kitchen / refrigerator slide, ~18’. We traveled to Alaska and I didn’t really notice any difference in opening and closing the 4 slides on the trip. When we got to Alaska, another camper pointed out a broken slide rail. It is the upper rail and it snapped perhaps 1-1/2” from where the pin holds it. I have not functioned the slide since; sad because we had some other sites to see.

Long story short, Coachmen reps and Lippert have been awesome and are sending us a replacement. (I will deal with warranty later). We have not received our part and absolutely have to get on the road. Has anyone pulled their slide in with a broken rail before? Did you attempt to move it out down the road? I am very hesitant on moving the slide at all without a certified repair. If I can get it in, I will just leave it like that for the 3600 mile trip back to our service location.

Can you move the slide in and continue your trip and just leave that slide in? We did that 2 years ago with one or our slides. A pain but it kept us on the road.

We agree. If we get it in we will just leave it in. Thank you!

Wow!
