I’m about to sell my house and go full time. I’m so close. Now I need tricks for jumping on that perfect rig without doing something dumb. The newer ones are going so fast. Any hints? What do I need to offer for someone to know I’m serious? Are escrow sites legit? Should I get an inspection if the rig is still under warranty?

I seriously can’t wait to get out of my house and start a nomadic life. My head is spinning!

Welcome! It certainly sounds like a great time to sell a home from everything I have been reading. We recently sold one RV and purchased a new one. I had read about how hard new ones were to get and the difficult pricing. The model we wanted was easy to find but we had to be willing to travel over 1,300 miles to get it. Don't limit yourself to local or in-state RV dealers and you might do a lot better on selection and pricing.

I recently purchased a new motor home but bought a new one that was a year old. This was back in November 2020. I had an inspector check it out in addition to having it under warranty. The inspector charged me $700 and drove from Tampa to Ft. Myers where the coach was being sold from. It was well worth the money but they missed a few cosmetic things but was a good experience for me when I went over the puchlist. If I had to do it all over again I would have bought a used coach and had it checked out just by the inspectors before I bought it. You can get some pretty good deals when used. Some are the deals I found were people who bought it to use for a few years then were selling. Hope this helps, I envy you for wanting to go full time, my wife won't do it. Safe travels.

Enjoy your Bay Star! We have a 2020 Canyon Star 3710, & love it!
Regardless of what some may say, it is my opinion that Newmar is still one of the best coach builders out there. Especially "gas" coaches!
The "King Aire" down to the entry level "Bay Star Sport" are all built on the same assembly line!
